As previously confirmed, chucky Season 2 will bring a very introductory story to the series with Bound co-stars Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, who are set to appear in one of the new episodes. The trio previously appeared together in the 1996 film The Wachowskis and will meet again in the television show of the long-running slash series. Speaking during the New York Comic Con panel on the show this weekend, Tilly teased the return of the series’ co-stars and joked that she tricked them both into appearing in the show’s fourth episode.
Tilly (H/T. Entertainment Weekly). “Don Mancini has always been fascinated with Bound, and there’s kind of a restrained reference in a lot of the movies. Like, ‘The Cult of Chucky ending’, when I kiss Nica (Fiona Dourif), and we’re cruising over the horizon a red truck, it directly mimics the Bound’s ending. So Don told me , “Do you think Jenna and Joey would want to host Chucky’s star?” And I said, “I’m going to make a phone call.” So I made a phone call, and naturally, they both declined. [But] When I told Jenna that Joey was going to do it, Jenna wanted to do it too because the two are so competitive, they fight like cats and dogs, and they just want to do what the other person does.”
“We are excited to begin pulling leads on Season 2 of Puppet Chaos with Chucky,” series creator Don Mancini said in a statement when the new season was confirmed. “A big thank you to our partners USA, Syfy, and UCP for their incredible support and guidance in bringing Chucky to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to fans, Chucky sends his ever-present thanks, and a message: ‘This isn’t over, not by a shot’ Far away. You better watch your back in 2022!”
In the show’s penultimate episode, she revealed that part of Chucky’s plan in the series was to amass an army of Good Guy Dolls, eventually giving him the more than 70 Chucky dolls he owned at one time. The show’s final season ended with the promise of distributing all of those Chuckys across the country, and the full plan for the Chuckys’ army isn’t entirely clear, but they’re coming, and they’re not alone either.
